Our track record

An organisation requested training in compliance with the Chinese version of the RoHS Directive. As it is clear that China-RoHS is more proscriptive and demanding than the European RoHS Directive, ERA proposed a course that covered how China-RoHS would affect their products, the differences between EU-RoHS and Chinese legislations, marking, testing and requirements, developments in the Chinese legislation, product scope and exemptions.

A company requested ERA’s courses Quality Systems in UKAS Accredited Laboratories and Auditing in UKAS Accredited Laboratories to be presented at their site. This training contained detailed explanations of key issues as well as a general overview of all the requirements of ISO 17025 and practical exercises involving syndicate work and group discussions in order to demonstrate methods and tools for an efficient quality system and effective auditing. The courses also included strategies for dealing with problems found during an auditing process.

An organisation approached ERA to deliver a bespoke training course that would give to their engineers a deep understanding of safety requirements and its applications in order to produce safe equipment. This in-house course covered principles of good engineering practice in design, choice and use of published standards for safety, and assessment and assurance of primary level of product safety conformance. It was emphasised to course attendees that they should take into account not only normal operating conditions of the equipment, but also likely fault conditions, consequential faults, foreseeable misuse and external influences such as temperature, altitude, pollution, moisture, overvoltages on the mains and overvoltages.
