ERA Technology has announced the call for papers for their annual two-day conference and exhibition "Designing and Recycling Electrical and Electronic Equipment 2005" which will this year be held at the Hilton Hotel, London Gatwick, on 22-23 November 2005.

As the deadline for compliance is imminent, it is vital to focus on the practicalities of complying with the RoHS Directive; whilst ensuring that the products are still recyclable. The conference will encourage discussion on practical solutions to implementing both the RoHS and WEEE Directives. Presentations will cover European and global overviews of RoHS, as well as the eco-design of electronics. Participants will be able to see how legislation affects everyone, where ever they are in the supply chain.

Papers are sought from all industry sectors dealing with compliance with WEEE and RoHS, the implementation of the legislation, the impact on production and the supply chain, materials recycling and designing for compliance.
