ERA Technology has recently delivered two batches of 1.5m Quad-band Flyaway Military Satellite Antennas to two major defence contractors. The antennas are deployed globally and provide superior communications performance for defence forces in the field. The antennas operate with both commercial and military satellites in the C, X, Ku and Ka-bands, including DSCS, Skynet, Optus, Intelsat and Eutelsat. Interchangeable feed systems are included that operate in all major satellite frequency bands and can also be extended for use at EHF band. The antenna utilises a four-piece segmented carbon-fibre Diamond reflector that is lightweight, but extremely rugged, and engineered to the highest professional standards. The use of the Diamond reflector ensures high gain, exceptionally low sidelobe radiation and low cross-polar levels. The antenna is type approved by Intelsat, Eutelsat and Asiasat at Ku-band and meets all other known regulations associated with space segment providers.
