ERA Technology is delighted to announce a one day seminar “RoHS Directive Compliance and Enforcement”, on 5 July 2006, in Leatherhead. Speakers will be from the DTI, ERA and, giving the legal perspective, lawyers from Allen & Overy LLP and Premier Farnell.

The RoHS implementation date is 1 July 2006. The last meeting of the EU Technical Advisory Committee prior to implementation is in June and will have been attended by some of the speakers. Consequently during this interactive seminar, attendees will be given the opportunity to find out what the latest compliance requirements and exemptions will be and to question the experts on matters of particular interest to the delegates own companies.

Topics to be covered include:
	the legal requirements of the directive
	what producers will need to do
	what enforcement procedures are in place in all 25 EU states and how they will affect producers
	how to demonstrate legal compliance, who is responsible for compliance and managing compliance with minimum risk
	potential technical problems such as reliability and suitable substitute materials
