ERA is part of a consortium led by Halcrow, which also includes Lloyds Resister Rail and LH Group Services, that has been contracted by Tube Lines to fit a new Transmission Based Train Control (TBTC) system for use on the Jubilee and Northern Lines. This project is part of a major Tube Lines investment and improvement programme to modernise the Jubilee, Northern and Piccadilly Lines.
ERA is providing EMC services including in-situ train testing, EMC design advice and assessments, and control plan development.

London Underground (LUL) requires that their EMC standards E1027 and M1027 are met in order that they can demonstrate compliance to Her Majesty’s Railway Inspectorate (HMRI). Satisfying these requirements and other rail industry standards such as EN50121 will demonstrate that legal compliance to the UK regulations have also been met.
