ERA Technology has re-launched its popular project management training course, Project Management for Professionals, broadening its scope. The course programme, which is highly interactive using real life case studies, has been revised to include risk based project management. All aspects of good project management are discussed, including control mechanisms, holding project meetings and motivating the team.
At the end of the two day course delegates will have been provided with techniques to ensure that projects will be completed on time, within budget and meeting the full customer requirements. The next course will be held on 29-30 November 2005 in Leatherhead.
The course provides an excellent grounding in methods for project management by a course leader with good practical experience. The course presenter, Alex Roberts, lectures on Project Management at the University of Surrey. A chartered electronics engineer, Alex has been involved in Project Management for most of his career in the electronics, computer and defence industries. He has experience of projects on research, design study, full scale development and production. These have ranged from small to very large projects with a total value in excess of £100 million. Alex was Head of Surface Naval Projects at Ferranti and, when appointed General Manager of another defence electronics organisation, he introduced project management techniques which turned them round.
