ERA Technology Ltd is pleased to announce the latest addition to their portfolio of courses, Introduction to Safety Cases, which is to be held on 7 June 2005 at ERA’s site in Leatherhead, Surrey.
 |
Safety cases provide a formal argument that a system is safe and show that any risks associated with its operation have been reduced to an acceptable level.
Designed for the novice safety engineer, this course will provide an understanding of the legal requirements for safety cases, explain what their constituent parts are, how to present them and where to get guidance from. |
The course draws on best practice and ERA’s extensive practical experience in both assessing and writing safety cases in accordance with commercial and military safety critical requirements.
Attendees will find out about Safety Case evolution and history, legal requirements, structuring an effective and compliant Safety Case that is both manageable and auditable through the lifetime of a project, and methods of presentation. The course will address both military and commercial standards, and the exercises are designed to explain the principles and techniques discussed.
