Experienced Power Systems Engineer/Graduate Power Systems Engineer
ERA Technology works at the leading edge of many advanced technologies and provides specialist, technology-based services including design and development, testing, condition assessment and expert engineering consultancy.
We are currently looking to recruit two Power Systems Engineers to work on power systems analysis – with use of software (ERACS) to model power distribution systems.
Main duties and Responsibilities include
- Investigation of Power Systems Failures
- Preparation of Commercial and Technical Proposals
- Preparation of Technical Reports
- Electrical Engineering / Power Systems Consultancy
- Manage multiple projects
- Business Development – helping to generate new business
- Presentations to Clients
- You will write technical reports and provide costing and proposals to our clients on a variety of projects in Industry, Utilities and Commerce.

- Self Motivated in Technical Development – Regularly reviews progress on development and builds knowledge in own field of technical expertise
- Networking Skills- indentifies and nurtures external contacts who can contribute to the business and actively manages contacts as a business network
- Client Facing Skills – Ability to build an excellent rapour with clients and present yourself as a professional
- Results Orientated – Takes responsibility to ensure commitments are met and keeps people informed of progress and key tasks
Qualifications Required – Graduate Level:
- One role is at graduate level and you will have a 2.1 or above degree in Electrical Engineering
- Some experience in working in an Electrical Engineering environment (such as internship or work placement).
- We provide an excellent graduate development scheme to help you achieve Chartered Status.
Qualifications Required - Engineer Level:
- 2.1 and above degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 2 years work experience in Electrical Engineering Environment
- Chartered Engineer Status or the experience necessary to achieve this
- Excellent networking and client facing skills to help generate new business
The roles will involve working mainly out of our Leatherhead offices and workshops, but also on client sites both in the UK and overseas. We are happy to consider applications from Power Systems Engineers nationwide.
