Electrical Rotating Machines Engineer

We are currently looking to recruit experienced Rotating Machines Engineer to join our busy team.
Main Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Conducting testing, assessment and analysis on electrical equipment including static and rotating equipment but concentrating mainly on rotating equipment such as generators and High Voltage motors.
- Contributing to the investigation of failures of electrical and mechanical equipment concentrating mainly on rotating electrical equipment such as generators and High Voltage motors.
- Taking part in tests at ERA’s site in Leatherhead and on client’s sites. Training will be provided in general site safety and High Voltage testing techniques.
- Writing technical reports for submission to clients.
- Costing and preparing proposals for clients.

Qualifications:
- 2.1 and above degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Materials Science
- An MSc in rotating machines is preferred
- Minimum 2 years relevant work experience
- Knowledge of rotating machines design, testing, operation and maintenance preferred
- Possession of a clean UK driving licence
The role will involve working mainly out of our Leatherhead offices and workshops, but also on client sites both in the UK and overseas. We are happy to receive applications from candidates nationwide.
