Electrical Rotating Equipment Engineer

Job Purpose:

To make a significant contribution to an established Engineering Consultancy Group on a wide range of Industry, Utilities and Commerce related projects.

Main role and responsibilities:

  • Conducting testing, assessment and analysis on electrical equipment including static and rotating equipment but concentrating mainly on rotating equipment such as generators and high voltage motors.
  • Contributing to the investigation of failures of electrical and mechanical equipment concentrating mainly on rotating electrical equipment such as generators and high voltage motors.
  • Taking part in tests at ERA’s site in Leatherhead and on client’s sites.  Training will be provided in general site safety and high voltage testing techniques.
  • Working in the offices and workshops at Leatherhead as well as on clients’ sites in the UK and overseas.
  • Writing technical report for submission to clients.
  • Preparation of commercial and technical proposals.
