Designing and supplying novel antenna and radome solutions
for airborne applications
ERA is applying its antenna design experience to airborne
antenna systems which have unique design requirements associated
with the hostile environment in which they operate.
Our work in airborne systems ranges from research and development
into antenna and radome technologies for integration onto
future manned and unmanned air vehicles, through to the supply
of custom communications and radar products within Europe
and to the US.
| Our activities include: |
Research into novel antenna
configurations for future aircraft systems, including
both array and reflector-based tracking antennas for communications
and radar applications |
Supply of production antenna
systems, ranging from high power EW antennas through to
fire control radar slot array antennas |
Design of low observable
antennas and radomes |
| |
| Ongoing R&D activities
include: |
Participation in the UK
Future Offensive Air System (FOAS) programme |
UK MoD research programmes
into the RCS of antennas |
Development of novel integrated
ceramic antennas |
Demonstration of low profile
aeronautical satellite communications terminal technology |
Study of future millimetrewave
satellite communications and datalink technologies |
