Electrostatic Consultancy

The effects of unwanted static electricity are felt from getting out of the car in the morning, through unwanted "shocks" around the office or at the shops, to taking off your jumper or coat at the end of the day. As well as being uncomfortable, electrostatic discharges also pose a real hazard to electronics and cause unwanted adhesion effects.

ERA acts as an electrostatic consultant to a wide range of UK and European industries from electronics manufacturing, static control product makers through to the built environment. In diagnosing and solving electrostatic problems, ERA supports

Architects at the specification stage - to ensure electrostatic issues are taken into account up front
Manufacturers at the design stage - assisting in product development and ensuring conformance with relevant standards
Contractors at the installation stage - advising on types of product and post installation test
End users (e.g. quality managers, building services managers) - assisting in static control and troubleshooting problems quickly, impartially and in confidence
